As heels go....

I like it. As eye of the partridge heels go - I think it's "inside out." (Note to self: Don't question the veracity of someone as experienced at pattern writing and sock-making as Charlene Schurch...really, just don't.)

Why I do that, I will never know. It carries over into other areas of my life as well...like freeway signage. Who does this? A sign says your turn is approaching and you say to yourself, no, that can't mean MY turn, that doesn't seem RIGHT. I think I'll just keep going and see what's up here a ways - and of course, what's up there a ways is someone else's turn, because yours was back THERE - you know....where the sign first told you to turn?

So, anyway, not only do I see a lot of interesting places in my travels, apparently I also get to re-invent the heel occasionally as I knit. It's still a nice looking heel. And I'll do the next one - if this sock yarn ever ALLOWS me to GET to the second sock! - the same way, just so they match. But I think I'll try that heel again according to the directions on my next pair of socks, and see if I can get the prettier version.
(Here is the "inside of my work" which, as we now know, was supposed to have been the "public" or OUTside of my work.) "Different drummer"...dontcha know.

Oh I like those heels, I'm always to chickeny to try new heels, I thought I might sweat to death when I did the toe-up, short row heel :-)
