Jaywalking again.

I need to be cited for Jaywalking again! I was NOT going to make this pattern a second time, but here's my excuse. I had knitted the ribbing (cuff) and then had to decide what to do NEXT. I was in the car, had not brought any sock pattern to start, and for some reason my fingers wanted to start counting in multiples of 7. (Actually, yes, I have one spot at the top where I forgot to do a double increase so it looks kind of squoinched up, but...well...as we know, so far I don't have too much of a problem with glaring mistakes as long as they come out as socks.) The yarn sure is pretty, isn't it? Kind of reminds me of an Arizona sunset. I've finally gotten the pattern consistent, and the second sock will be fine. The other thing that I'm liking is that I stuck with a slightly larger needle. The blue socks were a tighter fabric and they resist going on my feet. They're fine once they're on, but I prefer a stretchier fabric than this Jaywalker pattern gives...which is why I wasn't going to knit another pair. Oh well. I do like the zig-zag, and it's a nice easy pattern to do while watching TV or riding in the car. Posted by Picasa

sure is pretty Cathi. I love the color combination. And yes it is reminiscent of an AZ sunset.
